Westlake is offering an opportunity to apply your experience and skills as a Storeroom Clerk based in Longview, Washington. The Storeroom Clerk compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in the warehouse.


May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs cycle counts of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Prepares reports as requested and required such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  • Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
  • Direct contact and support to the maintenance department in assisting with parts and materials for Work Order and building project job kits
  • Maintains Warehouse and Storeroom Organization – Materials put away on day received, free of tripping and other hazards, inventory storage locations labeled/identified and all materials stored in correct location.
  • Assures parts inventory in maintained per min/’max level, execute storeroom inventory purchase orders through CMMS.
  • Ensures compliance with work process for storeroom – Ensures written instructions are developed, trained, reviewed and updated.
  • Must be able to operate warehouse forklift
  • Comply with all company training requirements.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required
  • Maintains a high level of safety performance. Prioritizes safety over other objectives.
  • Authorization to work permanently in the US.
  • Current TWIC Card holder, or ability to successfully obtain TWIC card through Department of Homeland
  • Security
  • Successfully pass annual physical and respirator fit test/certification
  • Displays principle and discipline in adhering to plant policies, processes, and procedures
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with, coworkers, contractors and consultant


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Most of the work required is in the operating units which requires usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  Also results in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs.
