Job Title:  Sr. Account Representative for Compounds Business- Territory includes Midsouth/Carolina's

Department: Sales

Reports To:  Director of Sales – North America

Position Summary: 

The Account Manager is responsible for the entire sales effort in a given geography.  This includes a strategic vision for direct and distribution sales. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

(in order of importance)

  • Determine individual territory sales strategies.
  • Support the divisional strategy and objectives.
  • Identify and perform due diligence for new direct and distribution opportunities.
  • Responsibility for territory sales forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential accounts in territory.
  • Develop sales strategy to capture increased market share across the territory.
  • Work with product management to help identify and qualify new product opportunities for their geography.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor’s activities in order to proactively retain business.
  • Provide Director of Sales with weekly itinerary and weekly or monthly reports as needed.
  • Ensure expense parameters are being adhered to by Territory Sales Managers.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Capability at creating strategic and tactical plans for the region.
  • Demonstrated skills at key account relationship management.
  • Excellent skills as an effective and persuasive speaker; excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work with high level executives and support personnel.
  • Must possess and exhibit exceptional self-motivational characteristics.
  • 5 to 10 years experience in plastics(desired)
  • Fluency with Word, Excel, Power Point, Apple technology
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Education and Certifications:

Required:  BA/BS Marketing or Business degree is required


Strong skills using MS Office Suite as well as apple technology
