SUMMARY:  This sales position is responsible for the direct sales development of Westech® lineal fence profiles; Presidio® vinyl deck and railing products; and Scenix® fence products in the US; the Western regional market as outlined by the following state borders California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, New Mexico area.

Westech will consider any candidate residing close to a major city in the Western region.


  • Promote Presidio® deck and railing and Scenix® fence products through regional lumber yard dealers, value added resellers (VARs); wholesale supply chains and other retail channels to achieve sales projections established for this abovementioned marketplace. 
  • Develop and sustain trading relationships with Westech® lineal fence profiles customers by providing sales and consultative services to these entrepreneurial business partners.
  • Adhere to corporate established pricing policies in all selling endeavors.
  • Submit a sales activity report within the first 10-days; no later than the 10th day of the following month of each successive quarter (or, as prescribed in this schedule:  Q1 – 10 April; Q2 – 10 July; Q3 – 10 September; and Q4 – 10 January).  This report shall include and not be limited to the following:
    • Actual vs. budgetary performance review
    • Competitive and market intelligence
    • Prospective customer update
    • New product development opportunities
  • Submit quarterly sales forecasts by product for your region to be used to benchmark production planning and capital investment requirements.
  • Responsible for the sales development planning and forecasting of your sales region for 2011 and subsequent financial periods.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating through our established  procedure all customer complaints within 24 hours of notification.  Effective complaint resolution is critical for improving customer satisfaction levels.  As such, it is imperative for you to provide comprehensive and responsive documentation of all problems encountered.
  • Assist in the management of finished goods inventory reserves through effective sales forecasting to insure a minimum of 3.7 turns in 2018.
  • Assist in the development of Marketing Programs to advance the sale of Westech® lineal, Presidio® and Scenix® offerings; and contribute to the development and implementation of the annual marketing budgets and programs for these products.
  • Actively contribute to the development of product, sales and marketing initiatives to reinforce a leadership position for Westech® Fence in the PVC fence, deck and railing industry.
  • Actively participate in the coordination and presentation of Westech®, Presidio® and Scenix® products through targeted trade shows focusing on the design and construction communities.
  • Perpetually provide competitive market intelligence to contribute to the strategic planning of the sales and marketing division.
  • Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be disciplined, have a strong work ethic and work autonomously with limited intervention from the senior management group.


  • Bachelors Degree is Business, Marketing or recognized equivalent plus a minimum of three years of direct industry related experience. 
  • The candidate must have sound computer competencies in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
  • The candidate must additionally possess a high level of proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.  The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Any lifting in excess of 25 pounds requires assistance from another employee.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.  Setting is in an office environment on a limited basis.  Position can involve extended travel up to 100% of the time for periodic intervals.  An ability to handle potentially stressful situations caused by the assignment of multiple projects with aggressive completion deadlines is a requirement of this position.
