Job Description


Manages sales activities of the assigned region by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.


  • Directs and Manage Factory Sales Representatives and Independent Rep Agencies to deliver budgeted goals and a balanced value/volume selling model.
  • Continually assess the business and market dynamics to optimize the sales team balance between Factory Sales Reps and Independent Rep companies.
  • Work with the Director of Sales, Plumbing and Manager of Municipal Sales, North,  to shape incentive programs to align with the right behaviors.  This applies to both internal and external incentives.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of the company in that specific region.
  • Deliver annual territory budget (Sales, Expense, Advertising,e tc) to mangement.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
  • Prepare sales report and territory performance to budget reports monthly.  Report will reflect status, gaps, and additions to the budget..  
  • Keep current with market conditions through contact with customers and Reps.
  • Contact technical service to remain current quality/field service issues.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Directly Supervises the Factory and Independent Representatives in assigned region.


Requires a good understanding of sales and marketing functions.  Prefer to have a working knowledge and experience in the  industry. Must have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), innovative and strategic thinker (as well as analytical), and have strong interpersonal skills (strong motivator).    This individual must have a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial modeling.  In addition, this individual must be self-directed and ability to work with minimal supervision.


Requires a BA in Sales, Marketing, or equivalent, with five to ten years’ experience in Sales and Marketing.  Previous management experiences a plus.  Must be computer literate in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Job requires approximately 50% travel.
