Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute Plant Standard Operating Procedures including Extrusion, Fabrication and Slotting into a 6 weeks production schedule for regional assigned plants. Coordinate products transfer for shared production among sites.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse and Shipping to meet production and customer requirements, including executing schedule changes in coordination with Operations and Customer Service and working with Customer service to improve on-time deliveries.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Work with plant managers and purchasing to arrange manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Establish and communicate One week frozen schedule with Operations and Customer Service.
  • Scheduling of Make to Order items – includes establishing dates, defining required upcharges or minimum QTY, filling orders to meet required ship dates and advise Customer Service team.
  • Maintain inventory target on a monthly basis. Manage safety stocks effectively, account for stock transfer lead time and demand variability. Reducing aging inventory by offering as alternatives with open orders and aging report analysis to recommend grinding/write offs to eliminate obsolete stock.
  • Attend monthly S&OP and weekly production scheduling meetings with Planners and Operations, including Mid to Long term capacity planning to meet required demand. 
  • Work with S&OP and Capacity analysis team to follow the strategy for long term planning.
  • Work with Product Management team to determining production priorities during conflicts.  
  • Reviewing open orders in ERP system to ensure order fulfillment.
  • Knowledge of master data including material master MRP, BOMs, routing and ECN process. 
  • Monitor and maintain MRP planning parameters for responsible manufactured items.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 1-3 years of supply chain or other relevant experience
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Access, Word and Outlook. MRP experience is required.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP/JDE is preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to develop concepts in an actionable strategy and plan
  • Able to multi-task and display a high level of company/team spirit in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
