Job Description


The Process Control Technician is responsible for optimizing the injection molding process for various molded parts.  This includes performing scientific injection molding trials to optimize various parameters that improve the quality, throughput, and repeatability of the parts being produced, including auxiliary equipment functions, such as parts removal robots, RJG eDart equipment, etc.   As needed, the Process Control Technician will also mentor other Process Technicians and Die Setters on best molding practices.


  • Perform new mold samples, and assist in the creation of full documentation on all processing parameters.
  • Perform trials on existing molds as required, document and communicate results to engineering and tooling departments, so any changes can be planned.
  • Assists the Shift Supervisor to ensure part quality and standard production rates are maintained.
  • Assist Process Technicians and Die Setters to insure that set-ups are done properly, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assist with the start-up, shut down, and troubleshooting of the molding process during normal production runs to meet or exceed the established quality levels and established standard rates.
  • Follow all departmental operational procedures relating to the set-up, operation, and shut down of jobs.
  • Perform special duties and or projects as assigned.
  • Document any and all process changes per internal procedures.
  • Document repairs as needed on work orders requests for maintenance and tooling repairs as needed.
  • Assist, when necessary, as an interim supervisor.


  • Minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent.
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • RJG molding philosophies, preferred
  • Master Molder training, preferred
