Job Description

SUMMARY:

To produce and load quality product per specifications, while maintaining a safe and clean work area. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to load fence, stack fence, band fence per packing specifications.
  • Keep production lines clear and free of clutter, waste, water, and other foreign objects.
  • Keep product off of floor.
  • Die Tuning support.
  • Inspect sleeving  for defects
  • Recognize quality defects in products and inform supervisor immediately for correction.
  • Understand and use proper safety equipment and work in a safe operating manner.
  • If licensed, operate forklift to move product and supply material.
  • Clean work area periodically, and clean entire line at the end of the shift.
  • Record number of bags produced and the time it took to produce them.
  • Other job duties may be assigned to assist in daily operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.  Ability to read work instructions is required.  3 months experience in a factory setting is preferred.

  • Employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete flooring; use hands to handle or feel product; talk, hear and smell. 
  • Employee may be required to reach, lift, and carry with hands and arms up to 35 lbs. frequently, 35-50 lbs. occasionally.  Anything over 50 lbs. should be moved with the aid of another employee or machinery.  
  • Employee must be able to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to sustained loud noise (PPE is provided), moving mechanical parts, extremes of temperatures (cold in winter, heat/humidity in summer), and risk of electrical shock.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, rarely to toxic or caustic chemicals; frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, and vibration.
