Job Description


This is a full-time position for a person who will devote their time to maintaining the NAPCO Quality Document Management System (EPDM), Reviewing & Developing Product Packaging. Also, working closely with Plant, Product Development, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality Management to insure safe, cost effective, and optimal quantity packaging is in place for all NAPCO Plants.  This position will be under the direction of the NAPCO Quality Manager. 


  • Work with SolidWorks Enterprise Data Management and is responsible for changes to Standard Operating Procedures, Forms, and creation of new Procedures and Forms as required within the NAPCO Quality Management System.
  • Train new users on EPDM functionality, workflow usage and proper data management best practices
  • Manage user profiles, authorities and access levels within EPDM.
  • Work with Product Development and Engineering on communicating requirements to Operations.
  • Work with Compliance on agency revisions to established standards and insure all required revisions are incorporated into NAPCO Quality requirements and implemented across all NAPCO plants.
  • Provide assistance and be a resource to plants to identify, define, and interpret product requirements and specifications.  
  • Monitor and report on plant progress on EPDM Acknowledgements.
  • Review current packaging configurations and analyze for safety and maximum load quantities
  • Work with NPD team and Plant personnel to develop safe, optimal packaging of new products
  • Will lead company efforts to standardize packaging methods and configuration
  • Works with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Service to insure customer needs and concerns on packaging are understood
  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of packaging requirements .
  • Develop Packaging specification requirements, packaging drawing templates and incorporate new packaging process into SolidWorks and EPDM
  • Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.

2 year technical degree with applicable hands on experience or B.S. Engineering with relevant, applicable course and lab experience. Knowledge of extrusion or injection molding is a plus.


Experience with Quality Management Systems, ability to read and understand product drawings,


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  Travel up to 30% including air travel or auto travel.
