JOB SUMMARY: Royal Building Products is currently looking to fill a vacancy for a Production and Inventory Clerk located in Abbotsford, British Columbia.Reporting to the Western Logistics Superintendent, this role will appeal to energetic, enthusiastic and career-oriented individuals who wish to advance their career with a successful manufacturing and sales organization.  You will join a Production team that interacts regularly with the Distribution teams. 


  • Production order completions per SOP.
  • Reconciles production order compound usage weekly and for month end.
  • Reconciles PVC resin weekly.
  • Reconciles all Raw Materials on a monthly basis.
  • Ensures acceptable production order schedule adherence.
  • Interacts collegially with staff at Calgary and Winnipeg distribution centres to ensure timely and accurate creation of non-stock and service purchase orders.
  • Files all completed receiving documentation matched to purchase orders.
  • Participates and contributes to optimizing shipping and receiving effectiveness.
  • Creates and organizes timely cycle counts for both Pipe and Fittings. Coordinates the completion of the cycle counts in concert with the local supervisors.
  • Able to provide back-up support for Langley Fittings purchasing function as required
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Logistics Superintendent or other management.
  • Participates in other Production or Shipping and Logistics Department projects to help with team workload and to widen departmental knowledge to prepare for future promotion.


  • Possess two to four years’ experience with Production support / Inventory Management preferably gained in a manufacturing or warehousing context.
  • You must offer excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well in an environment where good customer service means coping ably with tight shipping deadlines without loss of accuracy.
  • Shipping experience via a major computer platform (e.g.: JDE or SAP).
  • Additional consideration will be accorded to those candidates who have already attained post-secondary education relevant to Operations Management and Inventory Management (e.g.: B.C.I.T. Operations Management, Transportation or APICS).
