Job Description

Description: Deliver audit services to 60+ sites worldwide. To assure alignment with all Federal, State, Corporate and Site HSE requirements. Protect people, assets and the environment and safeguard the corporate brand.


  •  Develop and maintain a 6 Yr. corporate HSE Audit Schedule with a 3 Yr. Audit cycle.
  •  Staff audits using a combination of corporate, site and contract sources.
  • Determine an audit budget. Procedure audit services as needed.
  • Assemble audit materials, construct, update and maintain audit protocols
  • Coordinate audit team activities including logistics, document review, interviewing site personnel and verifying field practice.
  • Identify Findings that target deficiencies in procedures, practices and activities that prevent the effective execution of the HSE mission. Review and approve action plans intended to address the Findings.
  • Create reports of audit results. Dialogue with Legal as necessary.
  • Enter, monitor and track audit actions to completion.
  • Trend and interpret audit results; communicate trends to the corporation as appropriate and incorporate learnings into future audits.
  • Associate with recognized audit industry groups to network and identify best practices.
  • Ensure audit participants and team leaders are trained sufficiently.
  • Manage audit software applications.
  • Take on projects from start to finish as assigned to achieve department and corporate goals.
  • Conduct/facilitate root cause analysis of incidents and support plants in development of corrective actions.

  • Strong communicator and presenter.
  • Travel 50%+.
  • Self-starter.
  • Willing to relocate.
  • Persuasive oral and written communication skills.


  • BS Degree in Engineering or Safety.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct HSE experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable in US HSE regulations is a must.
  • Certified Auditor and/or familiarity with Canadian HSE standards and VPP are a plus.
  • Have sufficient background to fulfill assignments in other HSE tasks beyond auditing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to climb ladders, infrequent work in high noise and dust areas with appropriate PPE in in-climate weather. Respirator use may be required. Able to repeatedly lift 30 pounds.
