Job Description

Principal Analyst - User Support Security will be a member of the Westlake IT User Services Team.  The IT User Services Team provides IT and IS Help Desk and User Desktop Support services for the entire organization and enterprise-wide to all Westlake Locations.  The Principle Analyst – User Support Security has specific responsibilities including oversight of and hands-on provisioning of user network and application accounts, configuring security roles and groups, monitoring system security, participating in security testing, ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information, performing security audits and implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures. In addition the Principle Analyst - User Support Security Security Administrator will provide resolution of user questions and problems related to the use of SAP and Microsoft Desktop Applications, operation of PC’s and associated peripheral hardware and software.  The Principle Analyst - User Support Security will also provide oversight of and direction to 3rd party businesses providing support services in certain specialized areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team lead for system and application security administration
    • Oversee and provide direction to team responsible for
      •  Identity Management System, used for managing systems account creation, extension, termination, role assignment, and reset self-service
      • Configuration of security roles and groups for the enterprise
      • Lifecycle management of user accounts for network, SAP, and other applications
      • Tracking and recording of account and associated access rights authorization
      • Maintenance of system of controls and support documentation for security access, to ensure that company account security operations are in compliance with company policy and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley
      • Facilitation of periodic access reviews, run automated programs to deactivate dormant accounts, perform security audits, risk assessment and analysis
      • Enforcement of established SAP and other application security access controls
      • Review of security profile changes to ensure private and sensitive data is protected, and segregation of duties rules are maintained
      • Recommending and executing enhancements to data and security systems.
      • Helping to formulate security policies and procedures.
      • Providing of functional support and troubleshooting of security issues and incidents.
      • Coordinating of responses and resolutions of security incidents.
      • Creation of weekly change management security log documentation for SAP, including fire call IDs, transports, and background jobs.
  • Oversight of 3rd party services
    • Outsourced mobile wireless support services
      • Primary company contact for provider.
      • Respond to escalations as required by provider or service desk, and facilitate solutions.
      • Review weekly device database updates to ensure accuracy
      • Review and respond to optimization reports from mobile wireless support service for cost savings measures
      • Socialize and drive adoption of “mobile wireless self-service portal”, where employees can request mobile wireless devices and service
      • Facilitate user training and documentation for company mobile wireless devices and services.
    • Outsourced application “How to” support service
      • Primary company contact for provider.
      • Respond to escalations as required by provider or service desk, and facilitate solutions.
      • Review monthly service report to ensure company is getting best use of the service.
      • Socialize and drive adoption of the “How to” service.
    • Audio/Visual Systems support service
      • Primary contact for provider
      • Respond to escalations as required by provider or service desk, and facilitate solutions.
      • Socialize and drive adoption of A/V services, such as StarLeaf video products for conference rooms, PCs, and mobile wireless.
  •    Other

QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or minimum 15 years equivalent work experience.
  • Possess 10+ years of SAP Application support experience. 
  • Basic SAP functional competencies in two or more of Plant Maintenance, Materials Management, Production Planning, Sales & Distribution or Human Resources.
  • Exposure to SAP Business Warehouse or Web Publishing and Document Management is a major plus for this candidate.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP 7.3 or greater. 
  • Experience working with vendors providing outside support services.
  • Strong general computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Products including Office 2010, Visio and other desktop support software. Strong understanding of IT operations, principles, and practices.
  • Strong understanding of security administration, security provisioning processes and systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data processing flow charting techniques.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  Travel up to 25% including air travel or auto travel.
