Job Title:  Sr. Account Representative

This is a home office position based near a major Southeastern US Airport.

Position Summary:

Experienced sales professional will be responsible for Accu-Tab® Chlorination System sales within a multi-state territory.  He or she will maintain relationships with existing accounts and prospect for new opportunities.  The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to grasp Accu-Tab® technology and apply it to multiple end-use markets.  10+ years of sales/technical experience in the commercial aquatics, water treatment, or capital equipment field with a drinking water/waste water focus is preferred.  Other business-to-business sales experience will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of Manager – Field Sales, Water Treatment Products, but operates independently on a day-to-day basis.  Executes assignments with little supervision
  • Possesses basic skill-set in sales strategies, face-to-face selling, and refined organizational ability
  • Develops strategy in conjunction with Market Management on new sales opportunities and executes the plan
  • Recognizes opportunities for growth and readily identifies obstacles and develops solutions
  • Manages Accu-Tab® dealer network to achieve territory sales goals and prospect for new dealers
  • Utilizes natural curiosity to conscientiously follow up on all marketing-provided and self-generated leads
  • Executes joint sales calls with existing dealer network to assist their acquisition of new end-use customers
  • Communicates with all customers to feed annual sales forecast data back to Management
  • Participates in industry associations/ trade shows, and develops a working knowledge of all industry trends and competitive strategies/offerings
  • Works effectively with internal work groups, including colleagues from other geographic territories,  to accomplish sales objectives
  • Manages territory sales of Westlake Water Treatment’s full product line including Accu-Tab® equipment, tablets, adjacencies, and granular
  • Complies with company policies and procedures
  • Up to 75% overnight travel via air travel and car 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in applicable field of study
  • 10 years of total work experience with ~7 of applicable sales experience
  • Proven ability to generate new business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill; comfortable with group presentation/public speaking; strong customer relationship ability
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and data-retrieval applications
  • Clean driving record since travel is required
