JOB SUMMARY: The function of this position is to ship and receive product as required.  Maintaining an organized warehouse, loading customers with accurately picked orders and, providing accurate documentation of material received and shipped.


  • Pick customer orders in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Verify supplier-packing slips by physically checking deliveries.
  • Advise Warehouse Supervisor of shipment discrepancies immediately.
  • Advise Warehouse Supervisor when stock levels are low or back ordered.
  • Advise Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager of unsafe conditions.
  • Stock shelves and arrange in a safe and organized fashion.
  • Unload and load shipments manually and/or with the use of lift truck.
  • Comply with load weight and secure load restrictions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
  • All safety training is done and policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly rapport with customers at all times.
  • Responsible for verification of material received from suppliers.
  • Responsible for verification of material shipped from warehouse.
  • Paperwork is neatly prepared and accurate.
  • Communicate unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
  • Safety rules and procedures are followed at all times.


  • Be willing and able to successfully complete training deemed appropriate for the position.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Good knowledge of all Health and Safety policies and procedure and understand safe work practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills,
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and up.
  • Lift Truck experience
  • WHMIS training & Forklift license required.
