Job Description

Position Title: Planner-Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Planner-Maintenance is a salaried exempt position with no supervisory responsibilities. This position will be responsible for the planning, materials, and services required in the troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and improvement of plant equipment. All plans are developed for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound repairs of the equipment.

Essential Job/Responsibilities:

Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Supports accident prevention and environmental programs within work area

 Monitors work performed by maintenance service organizations

 Monitors the plant preventive and predictive maintenance programs

 Responsible for planning and follow-up of area Maintenance/E&I work

 Reviews specifications on new equipment and systems to assure that maintenance requirements are met

 Uses sound interpersonal skill when dealing with personnel both in and outside the department

 Supports and carries out company policies and adheres to maintenance standards and procedures

 Responsible for the planning of PM and corrective maintenance work orders in the CMMS system

 Responsible for multi-craft coordination as required by the work order to properly execute all jobs

 Plans all maintenance and E&I activities to comply with the intent of the WMS process

 Works closely with maintenance and operations to develop daily and weekly priorities

 Responsible for publishing weekly schedule.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of experience in maintenance, electrical, and/or instrumentation and/or 2+ yrs.’ experience as a maintenance planner in industry. Additional relevant education will assist the preferred candidate.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential skills and qualifications:

 Strong computer skills (computerized maintenance planning system, Excel)

 Good communication skills, both verbal and written, good planning and organizational skills, follows through on commitments to other departments.

 Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling

 Self-directed individual capable of taking ownership and responsibility for projects.
