Job Description

SUMMARY:  To serve as the primary source of A/R cash receipts and posting, commission reports, and inter-company balancing of all cash received with Westlake to tie to appropriate bank account.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Post cash from Lockbox and Operating account (Daily)
  • Deliver checks to Treasury for daily deposits (Daily)
  • Create journal entries to make adjustments or corrections to cash accounts (As Required)
  • Validate all Company codes balance to Westlake sweeps (Bi-Monthly)
  • Pull commission reports for prior week’s cash posting period (Weekly)
  • Commission back up mailed to sales agencies (Weekly)
  • Perform commission research on invoices with concerns (As Requested)
  • Work with Credit Analyst and outside customers to identify and reconcile unapplied receipts 
  • Work with Credit Analyst to apply offsetting debit \ credit memos to A\R ledger (As Requested)
  • Provide backup support for other A\R Clerks & bank accounts when needed
  • Other responsibilities as directed by Credit Management (Daily)

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • SAP 4.6 or My SAP experience,  two plus years of experience in cash applications, or financial institutions, previous multi-currency trade experience, strong written and verbal skills, Microsoft excel and word experience, the ability to interact effectively with all levels

EDUCATION

  • BA/BS in finance, accounting or business administration preferred and \ or related work experience.
